Giving to the community has always been a part of Rachel's life. Since she was a young
child she has shared her gift of music to raise money for others to go to shool or to
brighten a sick child's day.

For three years, Rachel received many awards recognizing her contributions to the many charities in the Humble/Kingwood area. She
contributed the most service hours in her group and enjoyed her participation with the girls to better the community.

Sharing time with the children at Texas Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network Facility, has been a highlight of Rachel's
philanthropic activities. The children always love to see the queens visit them and try on their crowns.

Rachel collected over 200 CD's for the patients at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN per a request of the Music
Therapy group. They also needed guitar picks and Rachel donated over 150 to assist the therapy sessions. "Before leaving Nashville, I
wanted to do something special for the city that I lived in for 2-1/2 years." This is also a CMN Hospital.

Rachel has participated in the Thanksgiving and Christmas SuperFeasts at the George R. Brown Convention Center for many years.

Cook Children's - Fort Worth, TX, Dallas Chilldren's & Texas Children's Hospital - Houston, TX

Rachel donated children's CD's to Cook Children's in Fort Worth, Children's Medical Center in Dallas and Texas Children's in Houston.
Rachel delivered over 150 CD's in April. The basket contained many different children's stories on CD as well as many children's music
CD's. In the basket was also a bag of toys for the older children. (CMN Hospital)
She continues to collect and will continue this support next year.

At the games, Rachel enjoys performing, socializing with the participants, and handing out the awards. Even though they are the focus
of the event, the Olympians always make her feel so welcome and special too!!

Along with her Chi Omega sorrority sisters, Rachel supports the Make a Wish Foundation thorugh fundraising events. Most recently, they
visited the Make a Wish headquarters in Houston and delivered donations collected this year. They also sponsored "Swish for a Wish" - a
basketball tournament to raise money to help grant a wish.

Rachel regularly donates blood to help save lives and would like to encourage anyone healthy enough to contribute to make this commitment.
